Conference Format:
 
The conference and exhibition will be officially opened by the President of Senegal or his nominee on October 4, 2004. All policy statements from the host government, representatives of participating governments, health institutions and the various National AIDS Commissions, will be delivered during the opening ceremony. This day's events will conclude with a welcome dinner.
 
The language format of the conference will be English, French, Spanish and Senegalese languages of Wolof and Serere, translated simultaneously.
 
In a plenary format, the scientific and technical sessions will be held in two sub-sessions each day and each sub-session under a sub-theme as follows:
